CODES

The Code series uses bar and QR codes that appear as lights on unknown buildings. The buildings and visual codes suggest concealment and power. The buildings, sometimes appearing as fortresses or banks, are imagined as containers holding data. What is hidden is protected. The latest iteration on this theme is ruins, where buildings are replaced with archaic relics and weathered constructions. The ruins merge relics from the past with today’s technology, forcing a conundrum, questioning our tenuous future and whether we will learn from the past.
